Read on for more info on Heat pumps and Hybrid Heat Pumps systems.

Heat Pumps explained.

A Heat pump is a device which uses a little amount of electric to absorb the natural heat from the cold and releases it into a warmer space, basically it is just the same as what a fridge does but in reverse. They use an intelligent system which adjusts to weather conditions and provides you with heating, hot water and air conditioning all in one energy efficient solution. Heat Pumps really help significantly on reducing your carbon footprint as well as the pollution in you local area by not having reliance on fossil fuels. And if that wasn’t good enough…They can achieve energy levels of 300-400% which surpasses even the most efficient boiler system.

Are Heat Pumps cost effective?

We are focusing on offering a Hybrid Heat pump system.  What are they? It’s a system which uses a heat pump alongside another heat source, like a gas boiler and why? because during cold weather, if the pump is struggling to meet demands the boiler will kick in although, the pump should still provide around 80% of the heating year round.

These systems tend to be very beneficial in colder weather or a  property which is poorly insulated. They also need less spent on maintenance due to the Pump and Boiler having a much  longer lifespan. One very good thing to mention,  as they are a unique feature by having energy saving appeal, this can increase the resale value of your property. A Hybrid Air source system can cost in the region of  £7,000 – £16,000.
